The research covers a legal framework analysis and compliance of Georgian legislation with the
international labour standards. Based on the conducted literature review and stakeholder views
analysis, an assessment of current challenges of effective enforcement of the labour law and the
formation of relevant institutional mechanisms were carried out. The research covered all major
aspects of labour rights and occupational safety. Policy recommendations were developed
derived from research findings.

The research is conducted by the Georgian Progressive Forum in cooperation with the Friedrich-
Ebert-Stiftung, International Labour Organization and Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia. The research aims to assess the current situation in Georgia regarding the protection of labour rights and occupational safety standards and identify challenges in the field.
